On December 20, 2025, a delegation led by YB Aznan Bin Tamin, Chairman of the Johor State Education and News Council of Malaysia, and Dr. Mohd Shafry Bin Mohd Rahim, President of Malaysian Institute of Technology, visited Nanjing University. Accompanied by Professor Du Li, the delegation first visited the National Integrated Circuit Industry-Education Integration Innovation Platform. Relying on Nanjing University's solid basic research and interdisciplinary advantages, this platform conducts scientific research on key links such as materials, devices, design, and packaging of integrated circuit chips. With a total investment of approximately 340 million yuan, it is committed to integrated circuit talent training, core technology breakthroughs, and regional industrial coordinated development, which has received high praise from the delegation.

Subsequently, the delegation entered the Intelligent Sensing and Communication Laboratory (ISCL) established by Professor Du Li's team. Professor Du Li systematically introduced the team's research progress in the Chip-Algorithm-System intelligent integration technology system, focusing on demonstrating the architecture design of independently developed low-power intelligent microcontroller chips, neural network lightweight deployment methods, and their practical applications in scenarios such as intelligent inspection drones, bridge expansion joint monitoring, and power grid insulator detection. The introduction content aroused widespread interest and in-depth exchanges among the delegation.

The delegation expressed appreciation for the cutting-edge achievements and industrialization practices of ISCL, believing that the related technologies have important application value in smart infrastructure, industrial monitoring, and other fields. Both sides agreed that there is great potential for cooperation in technology co-research, achievement transformation, etc., and stated that they will continue to strengthen connections to jointly promote the implementation of substantive cooperation projects.
